Executive Profile

Robin Engelson is a capital markets executive and board director with deep experience across acquisition, scaling and exit environments. She has advised on more than $12 billion in transactions, partnering with management teams, sponsors and institutional investors to structure and execute complex growth strategies. 

She built and managed $1 billion-plus loan portfolios at GE Capital and BNY Mellon. As Head of Private Placement for Lazard Ltd’s middle-market practice and Founder and Managing Partner of Sapphire Financial Group, she has raised more than $3 billion of debt and equity capital for middle-market companies, private equity sponsors and founder-led businesses. 

Robin has served on the boards of a multi-billion-dollar healthcare enterprise and a financial services institution, and most recently co-founded and served as EVP Finance and board member of a growth-stage real-estate PropTech company. She has also advised private equity and debt funds. 

A licensed Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 professional and Qualified Financial Expert, Robin has been directly involved in hundreds of M&A and recapitalisation processes. She holds a BA in Economics with High Honors from the University of Michigan and an MBA from UCLA Anderson.
