Robin Engelson is a capital markets executive and board director with deep experience across acquisition, scaling and exit environments. She has advised on more than $12 billion in transactions, partnering with management teams, sponsors and institutional investors to structure and execute complex growth strategies.
She built and managed $1+ billion loan portfolios at GE Capital and BNY Mellon. As Head of Private Placement for Lazard Ltd’s middle market practice and Founder and Managing Partner of Sapphire Financial Group, she has raised more than $3 billion of debt and equity capital for middle-market companies, private equity sponsors and founder-led businesses.
Robin has served on the boards of a multi-billion-dollar healthcare enterprise and a financial services institution, and most recently co-founded and served as EVP Finance and board member of a growth-stage real estate property technology company. She has also advised private equity and debt funds. A licensed Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 professional and qualified financial expert, she has been directly involved in hundreds of M&A and recapitalization processes. She holds a B.A. in Economics with High Honors from the University of Michigan and an MBA from UCLA Anderson.
