Derrick Monroe is an accomplished investment banker and seasoned executive with deep expertise advising lower middle-market companies on mergers and acquisitions, capital formation, and strategic growth initiatives. Over the course of his career, he has guided founders, investors, and management teams through complex transactions and value-creation milestones.
Complementing his advisory background, Derrick has founded and successfully exited two companies, including a HealthTech venture sold to a strategic sponsor insurance carrier, and CargoStax in the supply-chain sector, sold to a strategic acquirer. This track record provides a rare operator-investor perspective at the board level.
As Managing Director of a boutique investment bank, he has completed 13 transactions totalling $300M in enterprise value and has served as co-investor in 16 portfolio companies including Mercury, Till, TheCut, Turtle Health, Maven and Carta. Derrick serves on the Board of Directors of Churchill Partners, advising on strategic growth, governance, and long-term value creation.
Derrick earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Bauder College and completed graduate studies in Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
