Mr. Strobeck possesses a comprehensive international background in the oil & gas and energy sectors having gained a wide array of experience in the oil and power industries, investment banking and financial services over the course of his career to date. Within industry, he has a multi-functional background including: reservoir engineering, corporate planning manager, and managing director of a global power company.  As an investment banker and advisor positions include being an oil & gas equity analyst, managing director of an oil team, principal advisor to The State of Kazahkstan.

Key Achievements
  • As a reservoir Engineer with Phillips Petroleum in London Mr. Strobeck conducted several drill-stem tests on offshore drilling rigs in Norway, The UK, Ireland and The Ivory Coast.
  • During his tenure at British Gas, he was selected by the Board of Directors as the Exploration & Production (E&P) representative to develop a global strategic business plan incorporating the E&P, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Power Generation, and Gas Distribution business units. The plan was approved by the BoD and subsequently initiated.
  • As Managing Director of Duke Energy Gordon managed the development of the strategy for the growth of the start-up European business unit which entailed conducting a supply/demand analysis of the power, oil, gas, and coal markets across all the European countries. Also, he originated the attempted hostile takeover attempt of National Power in the UK.

As an independent advisor to the State–owned oil company in Kazakhstan, KazMunaiGas E&P, Mr. Strobeck conducted a valuation of the Company, wrote the IPO prospectus, and led the IPO initiative, on behalf of the State, which was successfully floated on the domestic and London stock exchanges valued at $6 billion.
