Mike Shinya has led an extensive C-level executive career in B2B Technology, holding three CEO roles and two Chair roles — with every company scaled and successfully exited. He also personally founded a technology company from complete scratch, scaling it to mid-market size before exit. Mike’s career has been intensely international, having been based and worked across Europe, the Gulf, and the United States (East and West Coast). Extensive M&A and internationalisation have been hallmarks of his career.
Between operational roles, Mike has worked extensively with large private equity funds including Goldman Sachs and Hg Capital, evaluating pipeline targets, advising on portfolio companies, and deploying capital. Across formal engagements he has worked with 12 private equity funds.
He has served on seven company boards, evenly divided between public and private companies, and has led or participated in three Public-to-Private (P2P) transactions. Mike holds a Degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia and lives near London.
