Zev Nijensohn has more than 25 years of experience investing across public and private equity and credit markets. His expertise includes fundamental analysis, security selection, portfolio management, risk management, investment strategy, structuring, capital formation and platform development.
Zev began his career at Spectrum Equity Investors, where he originated, executed and managed growth equity and leveraged buyout investments. He subsequently joined Empyrean Capital Partners, where he helped build and manage a multi-strategy hedge fund portfolio focused on event-driven and special situations opportunities.
In 2007, Zev co-founded Pine Cobble Capital, a value-oriented long/short hedge fund focused on opportunities arising from corporate, financial and strategic catalysts. The firm managed diversified event-driven and energy infrastructure strategies.
In 2014, Pine Cobble completed a strategic transaction with The Boston Company Asset Management, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon. Following the transaction, Zev joined The Boston Company as Senior Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee member, where he co-led the firm’s alternative investment group. He later joined Covalent Partners, a credit-focused hedge fund specialising in stressed, distressed and special situations investments.
Today, Zev serves as Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Silver Heights Capital, an integrated private credit platform focused on commercial real estate bridge lending. He is also Managing Partner of Robin Road Capital, through which he invests directly in early and growth-stage private companies and connects family offices with private investment opportunities.
